The Geology Trusts is a multi-regional umbrella organisation established to support county-based geoconservation groups across England.
These groups are non-profit organisations that each aim to record and protect the geodiversity of their home county, and raise awareness of this rich Earth Heritage by engaging the public in educational activities and geotourism.
Our member organisations carry out geological fieldwork and practical conservation projects; they give guided walks and public talks; they stage rock and fossil roadshows in the community and day workshops for schools; they publish landscape trail guides and educational resources, and do much else besides.
The Geology Trusts provides a forum in which its members share ideas, develop best practice and organize inter-county projects and collaborative work with other conservation agencies.
We welcome enquiries from county geoconservation groups seeking advice or considering joining us. Our member organisations are keen to hear from members of the public wanting to learn about or help conserve their Earth Heritage.
